Active since before she could walk, Julia’s love of movement has been anything but conventional. Forget dance classes or sport, Julia was far happier climbing trees and scaling cliff faces out in the suburban Brisbane “bush”. Ironically though, it wasn’t the movement that got Julia hooked on yoga. It was the fact that for just one glorious hour of the day, all that negative mind chatter would fade into the muted distance. And maybe even stay quiet for the next few precious minutes off the mat too!
It wasn’t until Julia completed her 200-hour Teacher Training at Body Mind Life that she started to understand the depth of healing on every level (physical, emotional, energetic, spiritual) that yoga offered. Far more than just strengthening and stretching, it’s a moving meditation; a sensual mindful exploration for the body, mind, and spirit.
