Biography:

Since 1987, Sabin has directed 15 productions for Georgia Shakespeare since 1987 including The Merchant of Venice (2008), The Cherry Orchard (2005), What the Butler Saw (2004), Twelfth Night (2000), The Miser (1998), The Tempest (1997), The Imaginary Invalid (1994), The Winter's Tale (1988) and Much Ado About Nothing (1987). Sabin has served as Resident Director for American Conservatory Theater in San Francisco from 1988-1991 and A Noise Within in Los Angeles from 1992 to the present.

He has been a Guest Director for the Utah, Oregon, and Alabama Shakespeare Festivals, Shakespeare in Santa Fe, San Diego Repertory Theatre, New Dramatists (New York), and Theatre Memphis. Sabin currently serves as the Head of Performance Skills at the National Theater Conservatory in Denver, CO. Formerly, he has served as the Head of Acting at the Old Globe/University of San Diego Acting Program; Conservatory Director of the American Conservatory Theater in San Francisco; Adjunct Instructor for the University of Southern California; and a Guest Artist at the National Institute of Dramatic Art in Sydney, Australia, New Zealand School for Drama and Merola Opera in San Francisco. Sabin is also the co-author of "Acting with Style and Basic Acting".
